The St George’s Hospital Dalby Ward refurbishment project was a collaborative work between the Hospital, Architects, Contractors and SDS. The entire ward is now fitted with heavy duty, fire rated door sets, hygienic colourful cladding and impact resistant wall protection to create a compliant, protected and highly aesthetic environment for the long term.
The refurbishment project took place in a hospital where all other adjacent wards were fully functioning, this naturally limits the accessibility and the working hours on site. The key requirement of installation of long term fire rated doors was achieved successfully.
